Hitting Streak Still Alive for Quigley
Friday, May 8th, 1970
Kevin Quigley, third baseman for the Middletown Township HS Warbirds, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 33 games with 1 hit in his club's 20-5 victory today over the Edison HS Silver Sabres at Louisville HS Fields today.

"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends."
Kevin Quigley struck out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th.

Quigley has collected 56 hits for the Warbirds this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 38 RBIs and scored 25 runs while batting .406.
