 | Quigley's Hit Streak Over Saturday, May 9th, 1970 The Edison HS Silver Sabres clamped down on Kevin Quigley and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 33 straight games, but it didn't keep the Warbirds from winning. Middletown Township HS downed the Silver Sabres 6-4. "It was bound to happen," Quigley said with a shrug after the game. For the year Quigley has hit .400 with 4 home runs, 38 RBIs and scored 26 runs. |   |
