 | Hannah Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, May 10th, 1970 Cherry Hill HS Tapirs center fielder Joe Hannah had a day to remember at Mud Cats Ballpark today, ripping apart the Silver Spring HS Razor Sharks and sparking the Tapirs to a 20-15 victory. Hannah wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Hannah told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Joe Hannah hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and walked in the 9th.
