Lowe 5-for-6 for Pilgrims
Friday, April 3rd, 1970
After a 5-hit effort to lead Ellicott City HS's 18-4 victory over the Hamilton HS Zebras, left fielder Marshall Lowe told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Northeast High School-level is really something special."

The 18-year-old player earned his accolades today at Apollos Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Zebras.

"His swing is getting there," said Pilgrims skipper , who spoke glowingly of Lowe after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Marshall did that to perfection today."

Marshall Lowe singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
