 | Big Day for Paul: Swats 5 Hits Thursday, February 24th, 1972 Eric Paul did a number on the Yellow Jackets in the Harborfields HS 18-2 victory today, and the number was 5. The Tornados third baseman banged out 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Apollos Ballpark to lead his club past the Starkville HS Yellow Jackets. "I felt good in the batter's box today," he said later. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Eric Paul walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Steve Flowers in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
