 | Orozco Cracks 6 Hits Monday, March 13th, 1972 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Danny Orozco today -- a 6-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Ballpark of Long Beach HS and paced the Indians to a 23-4 win over the Sauk Centre HS Mainstreeters. After his dynamite batting performance, the Pawnee HS catcher told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 6 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Danny Orozco singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Edgar Penaloza in the 8th.
