 | 5 Hits for Corsairs Johnson Monday, April 20th, 1970 No matter what the Silver Spring HS Razor Sharks threw at him today, Tony Johnson hit it. He easily handled Razor Sharks pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Corsairs to a 14-7 triumph at Mud Cats Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Johnson's quip, Razor Sharks skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Tony Johnson singled in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Bryce Gunter in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
