 | Moreno Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, February 28th, 1973 The hitting streak for Danbury HS first baseman German Moreno now stands at 20 games, but the Black Cats dropped today's contest 7-6 to the Sauk Centre HS Mainstreeters. Moreno went 2-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." German Moreno hit an RBI double in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Steve Nelson in the 9th. In this current campaign Moreno is hitting at a .417 clip with 1 home run and 13 RBIs. |   |
