 | Flores's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Tuesday, March 28th, 1972 Alex Flores of the Bethlehem HS Cripplers has now hit safely in 20 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 8-1 triumph over Pawnee HS at Ballpark of Long Beach HS. "20 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Flores said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Alex Flores flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Thus far this season in 39 games Flores is batting .375 with 2 home runs, 37 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 66 hits in 176 at-bats. |   |
