 | Milito's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Friday, April 24th, 1970 The Irvington HS Yaks fell to the Milford HS Sea Turtles in Gaels Ballpark today, even as 18-year-old first baseman Neil Milito upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Milito finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Yaks from dropping the 12-4 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Milito. Neil Milito struck out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Milito is hitting at a .398 mark this season. His stats show 1 home run, 19 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played 20 games for the Yaks. |   |
