 | Mutiny Jacobs Out Rest Of Season Thursday, April 1st, 1971 The Mutiny received bad news this morning. Chris Jacobs will miss 8-9 months due to a fractured elbow. He sustained the injury in the Clifton HS-Memorial HS game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Jacobs sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season Jacobs has logged no saves. He has thrown 21.2 innings, dished out 17 strikeouts and walked 23 while putting up a 3-1 mark and a 5.82 ERA. |   |
