St. Louis Takes Round 1 in Deciding Game

It took a while, but the St. Louis Cardinals finally disposed of the Manchester Mooses 5-4 in the series clincher at Busch Stadium 1973.
Winning the finale gave the Cardinals the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Round 2.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to St. Louis right fielder Jose Cruz. He batted .563 in the series, collecting 5 RBIs and scoring 4 runs.
The St. Louis Cardinals will play against the Boston Red Sox in the next round. Boston won their series against the Huntington Station Ramrods 2 games to 0. The Round 2 is scheduled to begin on April 17th, 1946.
