Shea Tosses Shutout Against Toros Tuesday, August 31st, 1982 Kenneth Shea shut out the Tucson Toros 4-0 on a 3-hit masterpiece for the Portland Beavers at Hi Corbett Field today. "He was kind of teasing them with his off-speed stuff, and his fastball was moving everywhere," Portland skipper said afterward. Shea registered 5 strikeouts and issued no walks in pitching a gem. "We just didn't swing the bats very well. Or else he just pitched good, whichever way you want to look at it," said Tucson manager after the defeat.
